Ferrets are made unique; no two ferrets are alike but they have common behaviors that a ferret owner must know. This is very important to know to be able to give the proper ferret care. The key to better understanding for care of ferrets is to know its common behaviours.

Ferret care is a must for a ferrets to have a normal behaviour. Very common behaviour is rolling around. Ferrets love to play and when they playing with other ferrets they usually roll. Backing into the wall determines they are frightened.

When this happens just leave them alone until it subsides. Chasing, as we know that they are fun loving pets they love to play. Chasing is a game for them. As they play they jump from side to side. Jumping and wagging shows that they are energetic and happy.

When they make ridiculous noise like a buzzing sound it simply means that they are unhappy or angry. Digging, ferrets do usually dig their food and play with water. This is a normal behaviour for them but negative. Ferrets also exhibits obsession for things they love such as their favourite toy.

They usually hide them in a place where their fellow ferrets could not see. They are also running into objects. They have poor vision and could only see two feet ahead. That is why they run ahead into objects. Sneezing, is a natural behaviour of ferrets because they have habit of smelling everything they see.

Aside from these good and natural behaviors, ferrets do have negative behaviors too. They bite as a means of protection or when someone wants to harm them especially their babies. Avoid touching baby ferrets. If bitten by ferrets do not pull them or try to hit them.

The more you pull the more they bite. Press the lips against the molar teeth to loosen. Biting is a negative behavior but justifiable. Ferretsare clean in nature but we can not avoid baby ferrets to poop around. Their intestine is short and they need to dispose and empty it from time to time. Providing a litter in a cage and proper training will solve this problem.

For a ferret to behave normally they should be cared, trained and treated properly. Keep them active and happy all the time.
